Malaysia Life (Birth-2007)
I was born in Singapore but I was raised in Malaysia because my parents were then Malaysian. Life at Malaysia
was not stressful at all unlike Singapore. My life in Malaysia was always enjoyable because I could eat all
I want and do whatever I want. I lived with my relatives when I was young while my parents were working very
hard at Singapore trying to provide for me. Then after kindergarden, my parents felt that Malaysian education
was not good enough to keep up with the competitive world, I was then sent to Singapore to pursue my studies.
My entire family then converted to Singaporean in order to cope with the school fees. Although I was brought
to Singapore to study, but I always try to make time in the weekend to go back Malaysia to visit my relatives
as much as I can as they were the ones who brought me up to who I am today.
Singapore Life (2007-now)
Coming to Singapore and getting used to the rushed life was a very stressful thing for me because everyone
was comparing grades and you will be ostracized if your results are not good. My parents were very worried
about me as they could tell that I was not used to the environment. But I managed to survive all that struggle
and made it into a good secondary school where I met some of the best people who are now my close friends.
These friends of mine helped me to cope with my studies and help me out with my homework and taught me ways
to survive in the ever competitive world. Looking back, secondary school life was the only time I felt significant
to others and I recieved much kindness from my friends as compared to other times.
More Life Stories (since Birth)
I always consider myself to be a lucky kid, to be born into a complete family where my family members love
me. Hence, I always try to keep a smile on so that I could hopefully influence others into being happy too.
As the saying goes, you just got to share the joy. I will always try to help other people if I see them in
need, for example I would donate money to elderly and sign up for CIP events to help out the community.
