Work
Directly after O Levels ended, I went to work at 3 different jobs which I was not fond of. I worked as a
photographer at Universal Studios Singapore and it was super tiring everyday. The boss will assign a newbie like me
to the front of the gate to gather people to take photos so that they can then sell it out even though there
are more people suitable for the job as it was only my first day working. But as time passes, I was reallocated
to the then Santa Village attraction to photoshoot instead. It was quite a slack job there as all I have to do
is to take photos as my partner will do the ushering. I really experienced how it is like to work for the
first time and I told myself I would not work after that job but then I still worked at banquet and restaurant.
The F&B industry is physically and mentally demanding as they force you to remember the menu which consist
of 100 of dishes and know the proper way to cut a fish. During my time in banquet,
I was also constantly serving other people's drink but some customers were just plain rude.
Hence, when poly started, I told myself to never work again for now and I have been jobless since then.
Passion
For all those times that I did not worked, I spent all my time slacking at home which includes me
gaming, sleeping and watching drama. During that period of no work, I managed to
break my personal record of sleeping for 71 hours consecutively. I also watched
20 different dramas in just one week and managed to stayed up 3 days to watch as many dramas
as I can. There was also an award rewarded to me for staying up for 72 hours consecutive to play a game that they log me out
of the game forcefully for 1 day after that. Some of the things I managed to learn was to learn basic java
and python which has helped me since the semester started. I managed to build a music bot
in my poly life which allows the user to just simply enter a number and a particular song attached to that number will start
playing and a game bot which
allows the user to enter a game character and the bot will display relevant information about him/her. I also created a
simple bot which can do simple things as suggesting random activities to do in the morning when you wake up.
